Jesus is my Savior, the One I love and admire

Whose Spirit burns within me like a flaming fire.

Even before He laid the foundations of the earth

He had me in His thoughts.

Thank you Lord for everything,

Being near You makes me want to dance and sing.

I will tell everyone of Your glorious ways

So hopefully they will want to know you too.

Before I knew You, You were there.

When I was at my lowest, You were there.

On my best days and my worst nights,

You are constantly here by my side.

You will never leave me nor forsake me,

Even when I cannot see the way.

Not once have you let me be led astray,

Except when I tried to do things my way.

You are closer than a brother,

More loving than a mother,

You can’t be compared to any other.

More than once you have saved my life

From addictions that threatened to take it.

 You pulled me out of that miry pit,

Otherwise I would have died

If You didn’t come to walk by my side.

You are not the kind who runs and hides.

You come in clutch EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Even when I hide in my shame,

Your love for me stays the same.

If it weren’t for you, I would be dead

You are all I need, my daily bread.
